# Credits

**sitoolz is Lars Rocha's work.** The ideas, the laws, the proofs and the libraries this package
is built from are his, made over years in `pytoolz` and RangeBlends, and every module here
carries his name in its docstring.

## The ideas

- The ruler sequence as terrain, settlement and rhythm: a column's rank is the power of two
dividing `g+1`, and hills, ladders, lattices, plateaus, canyons, cities and railways stand on it.
- The edge-run ladder and the run law of rule 30's light cone; the prefix law and its spectrum,
which make every bit of the edge a clock with a power-of-two period, and let the edge be read
  as stone.
- The square split `v -> (isqrt(v), v - isqrt(v)^2)` as a whitener and its equidistribution
theory; the massif ramp kept as a gradient.
- Indexed randomness: the world is the word that made it, and a save is a seed plus what the
player did (`indexrng`, `qrand`, `gamerng`, "store the path, not the palace").
- The drainage basin as a ruler sequence, with Horton's ratios falling out untuned.
- The triangular XOR systems as a design tool, with exact spectra synthesized to order.
- The Legendre symbol as a land mask with a theorem behind its balance.
- Provable primes by construction, the Pocklington rollball, and a prime range from a net.
- Larsdoku, Sudoku solved by pure logic with every step proven; Sudoku grids as towns and mesas.
- WSRF, the Williams Structured Random Forest, and the Williams Texas Holdem Engine.

## How to credit

Cite the package (see `CITATION.cff`) and name the author. The law cards in `cards/` each carry
the provenance of their idea; keep those lines when you copy a card.

## Thanks to the AIs

The ideas here are Lars Rocha's. Turning them into twin libraries, fixtures, worlds and galleries
was done with Claude, GPT and other AIs, whose code suggestions and ideas took the work to the
next level. Thank you to all of them. This is a toolkit for working with a
superintelligence in both senses: a toolkit a person uses with an AI, and a toolkit an AI can use
well.

## Attributions travel with the code

Where sitoolz or the editions site carry a library Lars published earlier (nedgelaw, IndexinPreview, RangeBlends'
rulerlib and bank, Wander's worlds), the original notices stay exactly as he wrote them, handle and all. Credit
where it is due, in the words it was given.

Foundry, Habitat, Atlas and Crossing (`foundry`, `habitat`, `atlas`, `crossing`) compose Lars Rocha's square gnomons, rulers, XOR/residue sieves, GF(2) and citylaw into mountains, settlements, rooms and exact addresses. They were developed in `spindexin/RulerFoundry` with Codex and are ported here byte-identical by `tools/port-spindexin.py`.

`parcels` was developed in spindexin/RulerFoundry with Codex, from Lars Rocha's laws, and ported here byte-identical by tools/port-spindexin.py.

`district` was developed in spindexin/RulerFoundry with Codex, from Lars Rocha's laws, and ported here byte-identical by tools/port-spindexin.py.
